This specimen was lot 2620 in Sincona sale 83 (Zurich, May 2023), where it sold for 1,100 CHF (about US$1,472 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Sachsen, Herzogtum, ab 1547 Kurfürstentum, Johann Georg I. 1615-1656. Taler 1618, Dresden. Selten in dieser Erhaltung (Rare in this condition). NGC MS63. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. Das durch NGC höchstbewertete Exemplar (Magnificent condition, Finest certified by NGC)." This type is listed for 1616-20 and is slightly scarcer than the preceding type (Dav-7573).
