This specimen was lot 35181 in Heritage sale 3094 (Chicago, August 2021), where it sold for $2,400. The catalog description[1] noted, "Turkey. Republic gold 500 Kurush 1923 Year 46 (1969) MS63 NGC. Watery and exhibiting light reflectivity underneath a veil of champagne tone." This type was struck in limited quantities in 1941 and 1950-2010. A 500 kurush monnaie de luxe (Fr-208) also exists.
