This specimen was lot 1696 in Jean Elsen sale 117 (Brussels, June 2013), where it sold for €140 (about US$221 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE-ALT WEIMAR, Friedrich Wilhelm et Johann (1573-1603), AR Taler, 1582, Saalfeld. Droit: B. cuirassé de Friedrich Wilhelm de face, tête à droite, vêtu d'un manteau, accosté de la date. Six écus sur le tour. Revers: B. cuirassé de Johann de face, tête à gauche, vêtu d'un manteau. Six écus sur le tour. presque Très Beau. (Germany, Saxe-Old Weimar, Frederick William and John (1573-1603), silver thaler of 1582, Saalfeld mint. Obverse: mantled facing bust of Frederick William, head to right, dividing the date, six shields around; reverse: facing mantled and armored bust of John, head to left, six shields around. About very fine.)"

This type was struck 1582-86 along with a double thaler (Dav-9769).
