Germany 1929-A 3 mark KM-62
This specimen was lot 982 in Jean Elsen sale 138 (Brussels, September 2018), where it sold for €130 (about US$181 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, République de Weimar, (1919-1933), AR 3 Reichsmark, 1929A. Réunion de Waldeck et de la Prusse. Superbe à Fleur de Coin. (Germany, Weimar republic, 1919-33, silver three mark, 1929, union of Waldeck and Prussia. Extremely Fine to Uncirculated.)"
This one year type was struck only at Berlin to mark the centennial of the union of Waldeck with Prussia.
Recorded mintage: 170,000 plus proofs.
