Passau 1509 1/2 batzen
This specimen was lot 624 in Künker Auction 424 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €340 (about US$482 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · PASSAU, BISTUM Wigileus Fröschl von Marzoll, 1500-1517. 1/2 Batzen (Gröschl) 1509. Mit S * STEH * ORA - PRO NOBIS ° auf der Rückseite. RR Kl. Prägeschwäche, sehr schön-vorzüglich. (Germany, bishopric of Passau, Wigileus Fröschl von Marzoll, 1500-1517, half batzen of 1509, with "S * STEH * ORA - PRO NOBIS °" on the reverse. Weakly struck, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1506-10. Fifteen batzen made a thaler. The bishopric of Passau was annexed to Bavaria in 1803 and 1805.
