Mainz 1766-A FB thaler Dav-2425

This specimen was lot 1445 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 225 (about US$296 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Konventionstaler 1766. Mainz. Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön. (Germany, archbishopric of Mainz, convention thaler of 1766, very fine to good very fine.)"
The archbishopric was mediatized and partitioned in 1803.
Recorded mintage: unknown but somewhat scarce.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 27.71 g.
