This specimen was lot 37463 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCOTLAND. 5 Shillings, 1694. Edinburgh Mint. William and Mary. PCGS VF-30. Second Coinage. Variety with GVLIELM∀S spelling. From the Richard August Collection." This type was worth about an English sixpence and was struck 1694 only. It is rare in Very Fine or better. The denomination was last struck in 1700.
