Sincona sale 63, lot 1626

This specimen was lot 1626 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 180 CHF (about US$226 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA, Ferdinand I. 1835-1848. Taler 1838 A, Wien. Fast vorzüglich/vorzüglich mit Prägeglanz. Kleine Kratzer. (empire of Austria, Ferdinand I, 1835-48, thaler of 1838, Vienna mint. About extremely fine/extremely fine with mint luster, Small scratches.)"

This type was struck 1837-48 at A, M. This 1838-A is slightly better.
