This specimen was lot 1156 in Sincona sale 54 (Zürich, May 2019), where it sold for 325 CHF (about US$387 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"500 Rupees 1985. UNO. Dekade der Frau. Selten. Nur 500 Exemplare geprägt. Polierte Platte. FDC. (Seychelles, 500 rupees of 1985, for the UN Decade for Women. Rare. Only 500 pieces struck, Choice Proof.)"
We assume that insiders were the lucky recipients of this obscure commemorative.
