Ponterio sale 150, lot 9418

This coin was lot 9418 in Ponterio sale 150 (Los Angeles, August 2009), where it sold for $1,207.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1819 LIX. NGC MS-63." The type was struck 1818-20 and features the bust of George III, by then subject to the regency of his son the Prince of Wales.

Recorded mintage: 683,000.

Specification: 28.27 g, .925 fine silver, .841 troy oz ASW, designed by Pistrucci.
