This specimen was lot 3003 in Sincona sale 64 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 2,800 CHF (about US$3,509 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Aargau | Zofingen, Städtische Prägungen. 20 Kreuzer 1722, Zofingen. Schräg gerippter Rand. Selten. FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung mit herrlicher Patina. (canton of Aargau, town of Zofingen, twenty kreuzer of 1722. Rare, Uncirculated, Beautiful condition with magnificent patina.)"
This type was accompanied by a half kreuzer, kreuzer and ten kreuzer for 1722. They were struck to preserve the town's mint right.
