Sincona sale 47, lot 2506

This specimen was lot 2506 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,200 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Aargau, Zofingen, Städtische Prägungen. Halbbatzen 1726, Zofingen. Seltenere Variante mit DOMINIIS anstelle von DOMINUS. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. (canton of Aargau, city of Zofingen, half batzen of 1726, rare variety with DOMINIIS instead of DOMINUS. Very rare, Very fine.)"

The SCWC lists this type for 1721 (rare) and 1726 (common). It was accompanied by a batzen.
