Schaumburg proper is adjacent to Lippe in lower Saxony. The county of Schaumburg-Pinneberg is on the north bank of the Elbe, between Hamburg and Gluckstadt. Erected in the fourteenth century, the line fell extinct in 1640 and the county was annexed by the king of Denmark as [[German States, Schleswig-Holstein|duke of Holstein]]. This 1/24 thaler or groschen is listed in the SCWC for 1614-20.
