This specimen was lot 2321 in Goldberg sale 81 (Los Angeles, September 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Sixpence, 1906. Edward VII. Light golden peripheral tone. Tough to locate in mint state. NGC graded MS-65." This type was struck 1902-10. Unlike the larger silver denominations which were modernized, the reverse design carries over from Victorian issues.
Recorded mintage: 7,641,000.
Specification: 2.82 g, 0.925 fine silver, .084 troy oz ASW, 19.5 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: S. 3983, KM 799.
