Sincona sale 91, lot 3681

This specimen was lot 3681 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 525 CHF (about US$694 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Taler 1732, Zürich. Spruch. Sehr selten in dieser Erhaltung. Gutes vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, thaler of 1732, Zürich mint, motto reverse. Very rare in this condition, Good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1724-34 and is thoroughly mixed with the "city view" thalers of the same period.
