This specimen was lot 1228 in Jean Elsen sale 148 (Brussels, September 2021), where it sold for €90 (about US$128 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "IRAN, Islamic Republic (AD 1979- /SH 1358- ) AV 1/4 azadi, SH 1370 (1991). Uncirculated." This type was struck SH 1366-70 for the ayatollahs. Gold half, one, 2½ and five azadis also exist. The coins generally trade as bullion coins.

Specification: 2.03 g, 0.900 fine gold.
