This type was struck 1936-39 by the Fascist regime in Italy. All dates are common altho slightly scarce in choice condition. It was converted to aluminum bronze for 1939-43 (KM 73a) after which the denomination was suspended, inflation having made it useless. No proofs are reported.

Recorded mintage: 24,000,000.

Specification: 3.25 g, bronze, 19.5 mm diameter, plain edge, designed by Giuseppe Romagnoli.
