Künker Auction 425, lot 2029

This specimen was lot 2029 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €1,500 (about US$2,124 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN UND MEDAILLEN · ANHALT-BERNBURG, FÜRSTENTUM Friedrich Albrecht, 1765-1796. Konv.-Taler 1793, Silberhütte. Fein zaponiert, winz. Kratzer, vorzüglich. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 113, Osnabrück 2006, Nr. 3024. (Germany, principality of Anhalt-Bernburg, Frederick Albert, 1765-96, convention thaler of 1793. Lacquered, hairlines, extremely fine.)"

Altho this is probably the commonest thaler of eighteenth century Anhalt, it is still expensive. It was struck 1793-94.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specifications: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 27,85 g.
