This specimen was lot 187 in Aureo y Calicó sale 448 (Barcelona, March 2025), where it sold for 3,000 € (about US$3,919 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted, "1602 or 1603. Felipe III. Barcelona. 1 escudo. Obv.: Coat of arms between B and -. Nice. Rare. EBC- [about extremely fine]." No gold escudo of Barcelona is mentioned in the SCWC, Cayón, Friedberg or Numista. Calicó (no. 1010 and 1011) shows it and prices it as rare which it doubtless is.
