This specimen was lot 222 in Schulman auction 385 (Amsterdam, July 2025), where it sold for €1,400 (about US$1,981 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"HOLLAND Provincie 1581 - 1795. Scheepjesschelling, 1769, Gold In goud geslagen op het gewicht van 2 dukaten. Type II, groot model. Driemaster naar rechts VIGILATE DEO CONFIDENTES.. Kz. gekroond wapen tussen waarde 6 - S, jaartal boven de kroon MO: NO: ORD: HOLL: ET WESTFRI:. Kabelrand. RR Klemsporen, licht golvend Plaatje. Prachtig. (province of Holland, 1581-1795, ship shilling of 1769, struck in gold of double ducat weight. Type II, large size. Obverse: three masted ship sails right; reverse: crowned arms divide the value, date above, cabled edge. Crimp marks from being in jewelry, very rare, slightly wavy planchet, extremely fine.)"

The regular billon Scheepjesschelling was struck 1701-05, 1708-37, 1745-54, 1759-63, 1767, while the gold version was struck 1702-03, 1709, 1722-84, 1789-94.

Specification: regular issue: 4.95 g, 0.583 fine silver; presentation version: 6.98 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen gold, 6.97 g.
