This specimen was lot 1561 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 17,000 CHF (about US$20,635 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Schwarzenberg, Fürstentum. Johann Adolf, 1641-1683. Dukat 1682, Wien. Stempelschneider Johann Michael Hofmann. Münzmeister Hans Conrad Richthausen. Sehr selten. Fast FDC. NGC MS63+. (Austria, principality of Schwarzenberg, John Adolf, 1641-83, ducat of 1682, Vienna mint. Very rare, About uncirculated.)"
This ducat was struck in Vienna for the count of Schwarzenberg, distinguished more as a soldier in the Austrian service than as a sovereign prince. It was accompanied by a thaler (Dav-7699).
