This specimen was lot 433 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$96 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Alexander I. 1801-1825, 2 Kopecks 1817, Suzun Mint, KM DB. 2 roubles according to Petrov. 1 rouble according to Ilyin. Very fine. Cleaned." This type was struck 1812-30 at Ekaterinburg, St. Petersburg, Izhora and Suzun. The mintages are not known but must have been large, as it is common today. Assayers AM and DB are both recorded for 1817.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 13.66 g, copper, this specimen 13.13 g.
