This specimen was lot 935 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$248 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Nürnberg, Stadt Konventionstaler 1762. Lege vindice Prägung. Winz. Schrötlingsf. Fast vorzüglich. (City of Nuremberg, convention thaler of 1762, choice extremely fine.)"
This type, struck 1760-63, is actually scarcer than many single year issues. The obverse features emperor Francis I, husband of Maria Theresia of Austria.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, this specimen 28.05 g.
