Sincona sale 90, lot 2004

This specimen was lot 2004 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$66 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"TSCHECHOSLOWAKEI Republik, 1918-1939. 50 Halér (Heller) 1926, Kremnitz. Seltener Jahrgang. Fast vorzüglich. (republic of Czechoslovakia, 1918-39, fifty haleru of 1926, Kremnitz mint. Rare date, About extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1921-27 and 1931. The 1926 is the only slightly scarce date. Czechoslovakia obtained the Kremnitz mint as part of Slovakia when Hungary was partitioned after World War One.

Recorded mintage: 1,585,000.

Specification: 5 g, copper-nickel, 22 mm diameter, this specimen 4.86 g.
