Stack's Bowers 2020 ANA sale, lot 23647

This specimen was lot 23647 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Las Vegas, August 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. 5 Rappen, 1909-B. Bern Mint. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. A crisply struck and pleasing little gem with full satiny luster and light gray toning." The SCWC records the 1909 as a common date. The type was struck 1879-1980 without change.

Recorded mintage: 2,000,000.

Specification: 2 g, copper nickel, 17.15 mm diameter.
