This specimen was lot 2453 in Sincona sale 20 (Zürich, October 2014), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Taler 1730. Auf die 200-Jahrfeier der Augsburger Konfession. Vorzüglich. (thaler of 1730, on the 200th year of the Augsburg Confession, extremely fine.)" This is one of the few thalers issued by the city of Lubeck in the eighteenth century. Most collectors make do with slightly smaller 48 schilling pieces.
