Sincona sale 91, lot 3211

This specimen was lot 3211 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$132 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Freiburg/Fribourg, Stadt und Kanton, 2 1/2 Rappen (Kreuzer) 1846, Freiburg. FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Fribourg, 2½ rappen or kreuzer of 1846. Uncirculated.)"

This one year type, the last from the canton, is fairly common. One thaler was forty batzen or 400 rappen.
