This specimen was lot 1244 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zurich, May 2025), where it sold for 1,600 CHF (US$2,321 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Brandenburg-Bayreuth, Markgrafschaft. Christian, 1603-1655. 1/2 Taler 1624, Kulmbach. Sehr selten. Sehr schön. (Germany, margraviate of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, Christian, 1603-55, half thaler of 1624, Kulmbach mint. Very rare, Very Fine.)"
This rare one year type was struck with and without initials "HDE". This specimen is the latter.
