This is an 8 reales, struck in Peru during the reign of Carlos III (1759-1788). There is only one variety listed for the year by Gilboy[1], that possessing a dot above both mintmarks. The pictured coin is the normal issue, and is listed by Gilboy[1] as common.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.07 g, 0.917 fine silver, .798 troy oz ASW.
