This specimen was lot 2433 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $154.70. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAFAVID: Tahmasp I, 1524-1576, AR shahi, Kirman, AH945, countermarked with mint & date on type A-2596, EF on Fine host, RR, ex Jim Farr Collection." Steve Album notes that this type was also struck at Isfahan, Shiraz and Kashan. The host type is common, the countermark rare.

Specification: 6.22 g, silver, this specimen 6.23 g.
