from the Stack's Bowers February 2025 Collectors Choice sale, lot 10339

This specimen was lot 10339 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €288 (about US$300). The catalog description^[1] noted, "DENMARK. 12 Skilling, 1720-CW. Copenhagen Mint. Frederik IV. NGC AU-58. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1720-22 at Copenhagen, altho without the heart mintmark. Twelve skilling was 3/16 krone or 1/8 speciedaler.
