This type was struck 1952-57 for Norway. It replaced a wartime issue in zinc, struck by the Nazis (KM 395). While worthless in circulated condition, as here, it is actually fairly scarce in uncirculated.
Recorded mintage: 4, 060,000.
Specification: 2.4 g, copper-nickel, 17 mm diameter, plain edge.
Catalog reference: KM 401.
