This type was struck 1958-73 for Norway. Olav V succeeded Haakon VII in 1957 and his head appears on this coin, the first portrait on the krone since 1917. This date is worthless in circulated condition, as here, but slightly scarce in mint state.

Recorded mintage: 3,933,600.

Specification: 7 g, copper-nickel, 25 mm diameter, reeded edge.
