This type was struck 1951 and 1953-57 for Norway. It replaced another copper-nickel type with a hole, which was also struck in 1951. While worthless in circulated condition, as here, it is actually fairly scarce in uncirculated.
Recorded mintage: 3,819,000 plus 4,761,000 of KM 385.
Specification: 7 g, copper-nickel, 25 mm diameter, plain edge.
