This specimen was lot 2536 in Jean Elsen sale 160 (Brussels, November 2024), where it sold for €90 (about US$114 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"NEDERLAND, UTRECHT, Provincie, AR zilveren dukaat, 1781. Vz/ Staande ridder r. met zwaard en provinciewapen. Kz/ Gekroond Generaliteitswapen. Zeer Fraai. (Netherlands, province of Utrecht, silver ducat of 1781. Obverse: standing knight with sword and provincial arms; reverse: crowned arms of the Generality. Very fine.)"
This type was struck 1739-94. Half silver ducats exist. This is a common date. The Utrecht mint is still in operation, striking euros.
Recorded mintage: 1,425,000 for 1781-83.
