Sincona sale 64, lot 3892

This specimen was lot 3892 in Sincona sale 64 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$63 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SWITZERLAND | Confederation | misc, 10 Rappen 1911 B, Bern. FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Swiss confederation, ten rappen of 1911, Bern mint. Uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"

This type was struck 1879-2015 without change. This date is common. Prior to confederation in 1850, each Swiss canton issued its own coins.

Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.15 mm diameter, plain edge, this specimen 3.06 g.
