Stack's Bowers May 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 32792

This specimen was lot 32792 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2024), where it sold for $870. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. 20 Francs, 1911-B. Bern Mint. NGC MS-66. A brilliant golden Gem representative of this iconic Art Nouveau issue." This type was struck 1897-1916, 1922, 1925-30 and 1935 in large numbers and most dates are readily available today for their bullion value.

Recorded mintage: 350,000, a slightly better date.

Specification: 6.45 g, 0.900 fine gold, 0.1867 troy oz AGW.
