Heritage sale 3037, lot 30791

This specimen was lot 30791 in Heritage sale 3037 (New York, January 2015), where it sold for $1,821.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "Oscar II Proof Krona 1898-EB PR66 Cameo NGC. A gorgeous coin, essentially pristine in its presentation, with full mirror surfaces and a deep frosted cameo bust. An underrated rarity in this condition, and even more alluring with such a dramatic cameo effect. From The Law Collection." The type is noted for 1890, 1897-98 and 1901-04. This date is common in worn condition but scarce nice.

Recorded mintage: 1,860,000.

Specification: 7.5 g, 0.800 fine silver, 25 mm diameter.
