The first specimen was lot 73383 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHILE. 20 Centavos, 1892-So. Santiago Mint. PCGS MS-66. KM-138. This completely charming example displays wonderful soft luster and strong details applied to the handsome surfaces. A great Gem pieces that is sure to charm all who look to place a bid." This particular subtype, 0.500 fine silver and with a dash under the "S" of "CENTS", was struck 1891-93. Overdates abound.
