Purchased from Mortimer Hammel, April 15, 1945."  Both this design (KM 130) and the refined standing liberty design ([[Chile 1872 5 pesos|KM 144]]) were struck in 1867; this specimen is KM 130, the more common. The type was struck 1854-67.

The specimen shown was lot 1421 in the Eliasberg sale, where it sold for $437. The catalog description[1] noted, "1867 5 pesos. MS-64 (NGC). Types as above.
