The first specimen was lot 44116 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $720. The catalog description[1] noted, "BULGARIA. 20 Stotinki, 1912. Kremnica Mint. Ferdinand I. NGC MS-65. A pleasing Gem with satiny luster and a bare hint of color on the surfaces." The second specimen was lot 73238 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2022), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[2] noted, "BULGARIA. 20 Stotinki, 1913. Vienna Mint. Ferdinand I. NGC MS-64. An attractive, boldly struck coin, with sharp cartwheel luster and light toning." The second example was auctioned as a 1913 but was actually 1912. This type was struck 1906 and 1912-13 and is common.
