This specimen was part of lot 23305 in Heritage sale 3020 (Long Beach, September 2012), where it sold for $1,292.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Collection of Brazil Silver 80 Reis, a most useful group dating from 1696-1818 and including several scarce varieties. This type was issued 1818 and 1822.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 2.22 g, 0.917 fine silver, .065 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: KM 322.1.
