This specimen was lot 1686 in Goldberg Sale 139 (Los Angeles, June 2024), where it sold for $1,050. The catalog description[1] noted, "Egypt. 50 Pounds, 1987. Aida Opera. Ancient figures among ruins. Pop 1; The Finest graded of 2 coins at PCGS. PCGS graded MS-67." Altho the SCWC states this coin is dual dated (AH date "١٤٠٧", CE date "1987"), it is actually undated unless it is on the edge.
Wikipedia comments, "Aida (or Aïda, Italian: [aˈiːda]) is a tragic opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi to an Italian libretto by Antonio Ghislanzoni. Set in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, it was commissioned by Cairo's Khedivial Opera House and had its première there on 24 December 1871, in a performance conducted by Giovanni Bottesini."
