This specimen was lot 22794 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Zurich. Gold 2 Ducats 1776, MS62 NGC, fully struck features with brilliant mint luster, a most attractive example of this very scarce multiple Ducat." This type was struck 1776 only but is more common than the issue of 1718-67 (Fr-485a).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 7 g, 0.986 fine gold, .221 troy oz AGW.
