This specimen was lot 1119 in Sincona sale 38 (Zurich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"Augsburg, Stadt, Dukat 1707. Titel Joseph I. Sehr seltener Jahrgang. Vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Augsburg, ducat of 1707, struck in the name of Joseph I, Very rare date, Extremely fine.)"
The city of Augsburg only issued ducats on special occasions and consequently they are quite scarce. This type is also listed for 1705.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
Specification: 3.5 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, 3.46 g.
