This specimen was lot 2157 in Goldberg sale 115 (Los Angeles, February 2020), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "Iran. 100 Dinars, AH1319 (1901). NGC graded MS-66." This type was struck intermittently AH 1318-1337 (1900-18) and is common. It was the next-to-lowest denomination issued by the regime, after the fifty dinars. Five thousand dinars made a crown.

Recorded mintage: 9,000,000.

Specification: 4.4 g, copper-nickel.
