This specimen was lot 50127 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $395. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Prussia. 20 Mark, 1897-A. NGC AU-55." This type, issued 1890-1913, is common and is a product of the Berlin mint (mintmark "A").
Recorded mintage: 5,394,000.
Specification: 7.96 g, 0.900 fine gold, .230 troy oz AGW.
