This silver five centavos, roughly equal to a half dime, was struck for Bolivia in Potosi 1884-1900. It superseded a very similar coin (KM 157.1) issued 1872-84, which lacked the dash between "CENT" and "9 D FINO". Both types are fairly common tho varieties abound. Assayer CB is recorded for 1890-93 as well as an overdate, 1893/83.
Recorded mintage: 70,000.
Specification: 1.15 g, 0.900 fine silver, .033 troy oz ASW.
Catalog reference: KM 157.2.
