This half sol was struck in Lima in 1923 for Peru. This billon coin replaced a .900 fine silver half sol struck 1907-1917. This type was issued until 1935, when all silver was removed from the coinage.

Recorded mintage: 2,520,000.

Specification: 12.5 g, .500 fine silver, .200 troy oz ASW, reeded edge.
