This specimen was lot 34679 in Ponterio sale 177 (Chicago, August 2013), where it sold for $153. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Baden. Taler, 1836. NGC EF Details--Rim Damage. Toned." This commemorative honoring the mines of Baden is scarce. The SCWC reports the weight as 18.14 g but the weight reported for the kronen thaler (29.48 g for Dav-519) seems more likely.
Recorded mintage: 8,250.
Specification: 29.48 g, 0.900 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-204, Davenport-522.
